Error transferring ROMs: Too large for the destination file system

I'm trying to add ROMs to my 2TB external HDD (USB) through Samba Shares, but I'm receiving an error that reads: "The file 'xxxx' is too large for the destination file system." When I use the df -h command, it shows that /dev/sda1 (mounted as /media/usb0) is using 5.1GB out of 1.9TB (1%). When manually checking my used space through Windows Explorer (Windows 10), it shows 14.6GB in my external directory (13.7GB in ROMs). Either way, I'm still well below my 1.9TB allotted space.

I thought it may have been an issue with the USB ROM services sharing the ROMs between my SD card and external HDD, so I turned that off to prevent that, yet I'm still having the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Edit: I should also mention that this error occurs regardless of whether I put the roms in \retropie/roms or \retropie/external/retropie-mount/roms.

Edit #2: Apparently, this is only an issue for some of my C64 ROMs. I'm able to transfer 32X, PSX, and Genesis ROMs without any problems, which makes this an even weirder situation.

@XEntombmentX How big is the file you are trying to copy? What file system is you HDD formatted in?

With a 2TB HDD formatted to FAT32, i think this is going to be the least of your problems in the long run.
Might be a better plan to start out right and reformat to ext4.

@Crush I'll reformat to ex4 and see if I encounter the same issue

@XEntombmentX I dont know what your setup is, but you mentioned windows, if you want to be able to access the drive in Windows as well when you plug it in your pc then you need the ext drivers.
Requires hardly any setup. ext2fsd.com

@Crush I actually tried using that and after transferring everything to my hard drive and putting it in my RPi4, it had nothing on it. I ended up just moving everything through ethernet, which worked fine and I haven't run into this issue again.

@XEntombmentX Ah shucks that happened to me the first time too.
For future reference, when done transferring files, right click the disk in the manager and select "Flush Cache to Disk" and then it's ok to remove the drive.
I should have mentioned that.
