@mitu Ahh, this would be one of those moments I should have looked at the documentation first.

      https://retropie.org.uk/docs/EmulationStation/#themes

Awesome. I will take a look and see if I'm able to accomplish what I need to.

      Thank you!

@jason ES backgrounds itself during game launch and disables the video output during this time.

      @mitu

Tested with symbolic links as discussed by Parabolaralus here, seemed easier, and for anyone running my specs they should have no issue running gamecube games. Runs flawlessly so far.

@XEntombmentX Ah shucks that happened to me the first time too.
For future reference, when done transferring files, right click the disk in the manager and select "Flush Cache to Disk" and then it's ok to remove the drive.
      I should have mentioned that.

Glad it solved your initial problem.

@Dben91 said in Mounting only pulling atari emulators / roms HALP :{:

@mitu How would it pull the atari systems but nothing else?

What happens when you rename your atari (2600 I guess?) folder on the thumbdrive to something else, e.g. atari2600.test? Does it still show up or does another system appear instead?

Does the option "Parse Gamelists Only" in Emulation Station's Main Menu > Other Options change anything? (The latter only applies if you generated gamelist.xml files for your roms.)

And please excuse me, but are you really sure that the other systems are on the thumbdrive? Can you show us a listing of the roms folder on the thumbdrive?

edit: And please post the information that @mitu requested in the post above your last post.

@lurker It can be done. A lot of people jump to the direct GPU which cannot be done, however the Displayotron Hat LCD panels you can get for the Pi which run over the GPIO interface use a frambuffer which runs independently from the GPU, so terrible framerates overall but for displaying 2D graphics.static images it is perfectly acceptable. All you need is a display of similar construction with an SPI interface to send the image to.

I am back, well rested and ready to go on what could be my final attempt before I give up.

      9:52pm
-What I did different, formatted RP Micro SD card to FAT32 (32gb card) previously was ntfs, I don't even know if it matters. I'm unplugging my ethernet wire. I'm transferring the rom folders that screwed it up in the first place, first.

Transferring over 3 'problem' folders first, plugging external into pi. works, transferring over every rom folder but about 4 now.

      10:26pm
      3. mostly all rom folders are transferred, about to test it now.
      4. boost file system error as seen above..... i dont know what to do.
