System Control Override retroarch.cfg
-
Hello there,
I'm a newbie fascinated with the retropie! But with a little problem.
I'm trying to configure an specific sytem controllers by editing the retroach.cfg like the example explained in the Wiki https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/RetroArch-Configuration, but doesn't work for me.
I'm trying to edit this /opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro/ but the only effect I have is the controls stop working.
My config is like this: <script src="//pastebin.com/embed_js/qr0nNhS2"></script>
What i'm doing wrong?
I have a raspberry 3 b with last v3.8.1 retropie installed and a ibuffalo usb snes controller.
Thank's and sorry for my poor english. -
@jaumao I think the best way to remapping buttons for specific systems is doing as said here:

if you're using lr-mame2003 (it won't work in lr-imame4all) you can do this: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/lr-mame2003#mame-menu

OK, so I understand that it's not possible to configure the specific emulator, only one rom at the time?. Isn't it? Thanks!

You could override the controls for the whole retroarch/controller interface for that system by editing
/opt/retropie/configs/{systemname}/retroarch.cfg
Some info here:
-
@Floob This doesn't work in lr-mame2003 , there's no "Core input remaping otions" in the quick menu.
-
@jaumao the mame tab options let you override controls globally OR a per game

Yes, I know but in the video I mention how to override in the retroarch.cfg, which may set what you need, its just it remaps all buttons including for use in RGUI so its not ideal, but it may do what you need.
Or as dankcushions says, you could just use the TAB function in this case. -
Ok! The TAB function works for me!
I was in the hardest way when a simple tab menu was enough! Thanks!
