I have an mp4 splash screen loaded that plays during boot console logging and extends past emulationstation being loaded.

however, on the connected pitft screen, the mp4 file will begin halfway through only once emulationstation is loaded. How do I play the portion of the splash screen that plays during the boot sequence on the pitft screen?

        Bump

Another post nobody responded to years ago with similar issue

The post by this man is the same issue I am having, although his analysis of the problem is incorrect. The pitft IS initialized but is straight up ignoring the splash screen until emulation station boots. This is confirmed true because turning on boot text to the pitft will show the full boot process until emulation station is loaded, to where it will switch to the splash screen which has been playing In the background until this point.

You've posted your topic yesterday and you've bumped it twice - it's rude and it's bad forum etiquette, please don't do that.
