Can i remove Emulationstaion and all is settings ?

Hey so im having a issue with my retropie and i cant fix it !
So Can i remove Emulationstaion ?
but saving the roms/emula'/settings/and all that.(without copying everything and copy back)
just out of the retorpie with the setup ?
like uninstall retropie and install it back on ? -
Yes, you can remove/rename the main configuration file (
$HOME/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg) and re-install it, it will generate a default configuration. -
