HELP - Donkey Kong Spooky Remix Hi Score Save in MAME 2016

Has anyone been able to get the high scores to save in MAME 2016 (v0.174)? If so, please list how.

@DRB I did not even know you could run hacks with lr-mame2016 (officially, MAME doesn't support hacks). Well, then i guess the issue here is that
dkspkyrmx(and any other hack afaik) is missing from hiscore.dat ?Edit : I think it might be impossible even after adding the missing entry in hiscore.dat, afaik "braze" based hacks (dkongx, dkongx11, dkspkyrmx and dkchrmx) require to enter startup menu to erase hiscores before being able to save them, but it seems that menu is only accessible in dkongx and dkongx11

Can the hiscore.dat be edited for dkspkyrmx?
