Controller Suggestions Analog Triggers
-
So I have just setup my Pi4 with the latest retropie and now I am in search of some controllers.
Currently I have at my disposal:
1 Xbox One S (BT) controller (this is what I currently have paired with xpadneo)
1 Xbox One OG (non BT) controller
1 Xbox 360 wireless controllerI'd like to end up with 2 similar controllers at least for the Pi, I also have a PC and an Xbox One S that I would use controllers with, ideally one for each of those.
My original plan was to buy a couple of cheapish BT (or maybe that come with USB dongle) xbox one like controllers, then the One S controller can return to the PC and leaving the OG controller for the actual Xbox. This way each system keeps its own controller(s) and I'm not constantly having to re-pair controllers. To complicate matters the Xbox One S might actually get sold so its controller (the BT one) would go with that, the non BT one would take up wired duty with the PC.
Ideally I'd like something with the analog triggers, wireless and rechargeable for around the $20-25 a piece mark. I'm just unsure how the cheaper clone controllers are quality wise (I know it can really spoil a gaming session with a mediocre controller), anybody want to chime in with suggestions.
My other thought was maybe to pickup a used genuine 360 controller (since they run less than the Xbox One versions and I already have one) and then get a USB adapter (I'd only need one for multiple controllers) and use 360 controllers with the Pi4. This would afford me some decent quality controllers and likely better range than going the BT route.
I haven't looked closely into doing this, but any real issues with the 360 controllers and a USB wireless adapter?Sorry for the long post, also any other suggestions are welcome.
