      adding boxart.jpg

As of right now, I have a few hundred ROM Hacks, homebrews, and other things that aren't found in any auto-scraper. (I've tried Selph Scraper, Skyscraper, and the built in one) I haven't found any "easy" way to manage these other than to manually go in, drag in the image to my FTP folder, and then edit the image and .xml file to add additional info for the box art to appear. Here is my current setup and process:

      1. I have Hakchi open in one window (where my list of games and associated box art currently are)
      2. I have my FTP open in another window (for RetroPie)
      3. I select a rom from the RetroPie FTP folder that doesn't have art, right click, select "rename" and copy the file name minus .nes (for example)
      4. I look for that same game in Hakchi, right click, select "show in windows explorer."
      5. Copy the box art image file from the Hakchi windows folder over to my FTP window which is my "images" folder in the ROMs directory.
      6. Right click on the image name, paste in the rom name I copied in step #3 and add -image at the end of the file name.
      7. Go to my current active Retropie window on the TV to see if the image appears. (which is usually does.)
      8. Manually edit the gamelist file to add the game name, ROM path, image path, and any data about the game. (which is a lot of copy/pasting from various locations)

This is a pretty long and laborious process, sometimes 2-3 minutes per game. When I used Hakchi, I just dragged the image file on top of the ROM and it appeared on the build automatically and instantly.

I do completely understand that "RetroPie is not Hakchi" but I need to at least ask...

Am I doing this correctly? Is there an easier way to manually add box art in RetroPie? I just want to make sure and ask before I spend quite a few hours adding about 30 or so consoles worth of ROMs to my RetroPie build!

      Thanks in advance!
