Running existing Retropie SD Card on Pi 400
-
I have a MegaPi case that runs Retropie, all setup and ready to go and I would like to now put this on my new Pi 400, so that I can run games that require keyboard, etc etc (Amiga, C64)
I have used the MegaPi (Pi3+) SD Card and placed in Pi400 but it fails to startup - any suggestions. I spent ages setting up the pi3/MegaPi so would be nice to re-use the image for my retro computers and consoles.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Neil

No, that won't work, you'll need a fresh image that is compatible with the Pi4/400. You can transfer your data via backup/restore - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/#backup-option-2.

What resolution is your TV ? Do you see the boot messages, before the system starts ?

Ok thanks. Actually got it botting into retropie now. But its not what i expefted with the keyboard so have reverted back to the raspian o/s. but i cannot see how to install the retro computer roms such as BBC Micro, C64, Amiga - have downloaded FS-UAE and ZX Spectrum emulators. Do I need to change Repo it points to? will that work?

Not sure if any of the listed emulators have a repository with binary packages for Raspbian - you'll have to check their homepage/documentation. For Amiga emulation, Amiberry has binary releases which you can download and start directly.
