      I'm in the middle of building my arcade cabinet and I'm using a Raspberry Pi 1, I have the latest version of RetroPie running fine and buttons/joystick calibrated fine...

      When I copy over 15 previously working mame roms to the "mame-mame4all" folder, the mame emulator shows up, the list of games show up after I restart retropie...but not one game will work. I can't even get past the configure press "A" screen without retropie sending me back to the game list screen.

      I've also tried copying neogeo roms to the "neogeo" folder, same result.

        @dapaze previously working with what?

        please fill out https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first - especially interested in the verbose log of a load failure.

          @dankcushions These roms were were working on a Windows machine using version "mame 0.31"

          Now I've seemed to have gotten past the configure system window... For the 5 games I'm testing this is what is happening:

          1. I see the list of games
          2. I hit A to start the game
          3. System configure window pops up "launching game / Press a button to configure / errors are logged to..."
          4. System window disappears
          5. Actual game error shows up "Error: required files are missing"

          Are these just bad roms now?

            mame-mame4all ... requires rom version MAME 0.37b5
