Hey, I have a Nespi 4 case and have a 1TB Samsung SSD setup and mounted over the RetroPie folder in the home directory. Everything seems to be working fine however I wrote a script to extract all the roms from 7z compressed archives and when I run it it should just go through them all and extract them. However, as I'm extracting it'll hang and writes will stop to the SSD. I know it's not the SSD in particular because I already returned a different SSD suspecting that may have been the issue so the Samsung SSD is brand new, major brand, has dram cache and all, so I've eliminated that as the possible culprit.

I also noticed this effect when transferring large files such as PSX roms so I don't think it's p7zip either. Anyone else observe this behavior and/or know how to work around it? Any advice is appreciated.

      Notes on my installation:
SSD: 1TB Samsung Evo SSD formatted EXT4
      CPU FREQ: 2147 w/ overvoltage 8 and force_turbo set
(max temp on stress tests is 75C; all 4 cores maxed for 15 min)
      GPU FREQ: 750
      Out-of-the-box power supply in use

The NesPI 4 SATA controller is affected by the issue detailed in https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=245931. There's a workaround for it, described in that topic.
