I recently updated and fully upgraded my pi.

A couple things got screwed up after doing so. (N64 emulator forgot my input configuration, theme magically changed back to “carbon” and a few other minor things)

One concerning new detail is that the boot/shutdown text no longer shows at boot up or shutdown. Even when I shutdown or reboot from the command line with

      sudo shutdown now

My RPi4 is using the Argon One case. With a safe shutdown button. I thought there might be something wrong with the button shutdown configuration so I uninstalled and reinstalled from source. But nothing has changed.

Frankly, I’m quite fine with it. It’s definitely sleeker. I’m just concerned that the system might not be shutting down properly.

How can I know if the RPi is shutting down right?

What RetroPie version did you have before the upgrade ?
