Pi Model or other hardware: Zero W
Power Supply used: Original Samsung adaptive charger
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.5
      Built From: Freeplay Tech image

I installed a new image on my hard drive because I am building a handheld kit, and when I wanted to transfer ROMs and BIOS files onto it I discovered that my windows can't find the pi. I made sure we're on the same network and typed both \RETROPIE and \10.0.x.xx (the ip) to no avail. I also tried going to the network center and tried scanning for the pi there but it didn't work either. I made sure that the SSH function is enabled (PuTTY command terminal works fine).
Making it work would make my life a lot easier, especially since EXT2FSD stopped working and I can't just plug in the sd card into my computer (if anyone has an idea about this by the way, it would be very helpful).

      Thanks in advance!

If SSH is enabled, then use WinSCP to transfer files, instead of file shares.

The registry edit mentioned here is what fixed the problem for me.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get notified for some reason.
I ended up using WinSCP, but I prefer it much less than the file share.
I'll try the registry fix and will report ASAP
