Could not successfully build lr-flycast
-
Looks like some recent changes in the upstream source 'broke' the build/compilation on ARM systems. Use the binaries to update in the mean time.
-
@mitu I went in and located lr-flycast in optional packages, it threw the same error.

Not sure what you mean - building from source is usually done this way.
it threw the same error.
Should be fine now if you build from source again.
-
@mitu thank you, one more question, I have a bunch of packages that are in red text that say they cannot be installed because of compatibility. Is this a new normal thing now or a side effect of using Zerojay's script for OpenBOR?
-
@greenhawk84 it's a normal thing, added by some recent changes in RetroPie-Setup. They where hidden before, but now all packages are displayed and the ones that are not compatible are highlighted in red.

The issue seems to be still there for x86 systems.
-
@crush Upstream looks like it's adding new code from the standalone emulator (
flycast
), potentially breaking the build on various platforms. Wait until things settle again to update from source. -
@mitu this has been long overdue for lr-flycast. I recall I had to submit a PR to get the Pi4's Vulkan driver working some months ago.
-
@bluestang does this mean Flycast will utilize Vulkan soon?
-
@greenhawk84 lr-flycast already is compatible with Vulkan for the Pi4. It is disabled in the RetroPie script but it can be easily modified to build lr-flycast with the Vulkan backend.
-
@bluestang I am curious to know what exactly is using Vulkan right now on Pi4?
