Saving Games not working?
-
Hi,
I've had RetroPie set up for a while on my Pi4, and was running ROMS from a network share, following this guide (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Running-ROMs-from-a-Network-Share/ - option 2 as I couldn't get option 1 to work).
I've reverted this change as I was finding some bigger games (mainly ISO's) laggy streaming over the network. I've started using a USB stick (using usbromservice). However, I've found that at least one of my games won't save.
I'm using lr-ppsspp to play Ridge Racer 2, and when I try and save, the game says that AutoSave has been disabled and even when I try and manually save, it appears to work, but when I reload the game to play another time, my game hasn't saved.
Is this an lr-ppsspp issue, or have I messed something up by swapping from network share back to USB?
Thanks,

Anyone got any ideas before I go ahead and re-flash my system?

The only two things I can think of are- Drive is full
- File permissions issue
#1 is easy enough to check, #2 shouldn't be an issue as long as your USB drive is using the FAT32 file system.
When you say you manually save, if you mean through the game's normal save feature, you could try using a save state as an alternative. If a save state worked then it likely would mean that none of the above applies and it is something else.
