Where do I go from here?
-
I bought a new 8GB RPi 4 and a nice 256GB Samsung SD card to go with it.
I installed Retropie 4.7.1 (RPI4/400) version on it with Raspberry Pi Imager 1.6, and everything seemed to work fine with no hitches, but when I try to power up I get this:
The QR code just directs me to a page on the Raspberry Pi site that says I need to have an OS installed, but I just did that.
The contents of the SD card show in Windows as this:
I have no idea what to do now. Anyone help?

@superfella I wonder if it has to do with this?
https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/sdxc_formatting.md
As an SDXC ("extended capacity" -- anything over 32GB), your card may be formatted entirely in exFAT, but the RasPi bootloader requires a FAT16 or FAT32 formatted boot partition.
Run the Raspberry Pi Imager application again and select "Erase (format card as FAT32)", then try writing the RetroPie image to it again.

@sleve_mcdichael That seems to have sorted it, thanks very much :)
