I found this script on Github: https://github.com/OfficialPhilcomm/retropie-music

However, I can't find it in the Retropie Setup experimental session.

Does anyone know this script, has used it works, is it reliable?
Can any dev talk about it?

You need to install/download it first - did you do that ?

@mitu Not yet, I wanted to check with the people here on the forum first.

This guy got the idea here from the forum, at least informed the source ...

From a cursory look: The only red flag I noticed is that it creates a world writeable folder /opt/dev_philcomm (why that?) which is not removed by the uninstaller script (woot!).

Other than that it should work, relies on omx player.

@wmarcio Hey there, it's me, the creator (of that script).

That was my first attempt at a scriptmodule, and because installation files were removed on installation, I had to move them to another folder @Lolonois .

Since then I have learned a lot about scriptmodules, and there is a new version of the scriptmodule plus better installation instructions.

It also doesn't get moved to a new folder anymore.

I am currently rewriting the script in another language, which hopefully gives it some benefits. The script is now completely written in ruby, which should give some performance benefits since I don't have to use a full game library (pygame) to play music, but instead interact with the sdl mixer part directly.

@philcomm Hello Mr developer, thanks for the clarifications, i will test your script as soon as i move my installation from an sd card to an SSD.
