      I dumped over 400 MAME roms onto my Pi which I now know to be unplayable, what is the easiest way of deleting them all?

        @colstar
        via sftp
        via samba

        there is also a file manager available via the Retropie menu, referred to here, if you don't have network access to your pi.

            @colstar If you are not comfortable with samba or ssh, you can just mount your retropie partition on a Linux os and do things via GUI. I had Elementary os on laptop but no ethernet or network to work with so it helped in that situation to make adjustments to my retropie and lakka os partitons.

            Whether it's copying and pasting roms or transfering my thumbnails and gamelists I was able to get things done that way. Linux Distros tend to be Free and Open Source for the most part. There are some beginner friendly versions such as Linux Mint and Elementary OS. You can even run a live version from a usb drive to play around with it without needing to install it on your hard drive. There is a lightweight version Xfce as well.

              @emulatre71 Thanks for the info.

              I ended up just connecting to my Pi via wifi and just selecting/deleting after searching for the correct folders. :)
