Rydra's BGM for ES Doesn't Cut Off for Steamlink
-
I had been using this to add background music to retropie: https://github.com/Rydra/bgm-for-es
I discovered a problem, however, trying to use Steamlink. Whenever you open Steamlink, the music doesn't cut off, and will continue to play over your game once you get it pulled up. Is there a way to A) make an adjustment to this script somehow so that it cuts off properly or B) uninstall the script entirely? I don't have the knowledge to do that and his GitHub page has no advice for removing it.

@ghostshot1398 you have to edit the
MusicStateMachine.py
and put in what steamlink is called when you start it.the BGM looks for each system to be called when it starts. there are other BGMs out that that just look for the autostart to be used and it will stop the music
this one is the one that just looks for the autostart to start.
seems all the others look for the system the start.
they are all good, but some need a few tweeks to get all the systems/ports -
@exarkuniv thanks, I'll give it a try! Do you know if there's a convenient/currently working Spotify one? I read about one but it required you to connect to your phone. I was mainly looking for one that would just auto play from a set playlist

@ghostshot1398 i dont know of any spotify add ons for retropie. All BGMs that i know just have a folder that you add you music to so it can be used offline.
im sure there is a spotify program that can be used with retropie, just going about it. i dont know sorry

@ghostshot1398 i dont know, since i dont use that BGM.
you will have to do a search for
MusicStateMachine.py if you are using WinSCP there is a file search tab that will workif not give me a day and ill load up a clean load and i can do a little digging
