Video splash screen resolution issue
-
Hey folks,
I've got an issue that I had fixed, however I just updated the RetroPie-Setup script today and it seems to have broken something (which seems odd as to why these would be related).
My RetroPie is hooked up to my 4K LG TV. I have set a video splash screen that is 1080p as my video splash screen. Prior to updating today, the way I had fixed the resolution was to go to
raspi-config
and force display mode CEA 16. Everything was working fine and the video displayed in the correct resolution. However, after the update today, it's too cropped/zoomed in on the video. I have tried forcing CEA 16 again, however this did not resolve the issue. I also tried adding
--aspect-mode fill
and--aspect-mode stretch
to theomxplayer
line inasplashscreen.sh
(I was pretty sure this wouldn't solve it, but I tried anyway); however the issue persists. Before update:
After update:
Emulationstation Version: 2.9.6RP
Built From: Pre made SD image on RetroPie website
RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.12
RetroPie Image Filename: retropie-buster-4.7.1-rpi4_400.img.gzThanks in advance!

Can you post your
/boot/config.txt
file ? Surround the text with code tags (three backticks -```
) so it's more readable. -

@mitu Sorry for the late reply. I messed around with my TV screen settings and fixed it that way. Thank you again for your support!
