Can you assign LR-Flycast to a directory other than Naomi or Dreamcast?

I'm trying to add LR-Flycast to the arcade directory, so I can run a couple of Naomi games from the arcade dir. I've added the lr-flycast line to emulators.cfg in the arcade directory but no joy - while all the mame and final burn versions show up, lr-flycast doens't show up as an emulator I can set a rom to use.
Is this possible? If so, does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
