      Just upgraded to a Pi4 and am close to having everything how I had it set up on my Pi3B+

      I have it hooked up to a TV at the moment from the PI HDMI0 port. The TV has no other audio issues so not thinking it has anything to do with that. And oddly I keep the videos muted because it would just get annoying with all that noise going on where I keep it.

      es_settings.cfg

      <bool name="ScreenSaverVideoMute" value="true" />
      <bool name="StretchVideoOnScreenSaver" value="false" />
      <bool name="VideoAudio" value="false" />
      <bool name="VideoOmxPlayer" value="true" />
      <int name="ScreenSaverSwapVideoTimeout" value="30000" />
      <string name="ScreenSaverBehavior" value="random video" />

      It doesnt seem to happen at any particular time. It will go a long time without making any noise and then every once in a while while playing a screen saver video, randomly in the middle of the video not while transitioning etc, you will hear a loud static "TSSH" lasting like a tenth of a second.

        Is there anyone else out there that even experiences this? (also without a fix)

          [bump]

          No one else? This problem persists for me regardless of what device I hook it up to. Originally it was hdmi audio but I now have it hooked up via the audio jack into an amplifier in my bartop and the same thing still happens.
