Hey guys, so I built an arcade machine and the encoders I used have no sound from the Pi. It works perfectly fine on a PS4 or Ps5. I’ve done hours of research on how to make it force HDMI, but nothing works.. any help would be great! Link to where I bought the encoders below: funny part is, at times it will revert to HDMI, but once I restart the Pi the audio is gone.

Please add some info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

Not sure why the encoder has anything to do with the sound output, maybe it tries to mimic a PS4 controller (which has an audio output built-in) and adds an extra sound card to the system ?
Can you run the following commands (while the encoder is plugged in) and post the output:

        cat /proc/bus/input/devices
        cat /proc/asound/cards
        aplay -l

Okay will do so tomorrow, when I plug in regular encoders it works fine. I read online I need to disable USB audio as it’s trying to get audio from the encoder.
