    Why does EmulationStation keep screwing up my box shots?

      Running ES 2.9.6RP, not a clue if that's the most recent one.

      Daily, across all systems and with no replicatable trigger, ES keeps taking menu pics like this:

      and doing this to them:

      All I did between those two shots was move the highlighted game down from Battle Zone to Defender and back up again.

      Sometimes moving up and down the list fixes it, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the same pic will be fine in the system list but bloated up in "Recently Played", or vice versa. What's going on?

      Raspberry Pi 3b and 8GB Raspberry Pi 4, both running Retropie 4.7.1 installed from scratch using Raspberry Pi Imager, with wired keyboard, wireless mouse and double arcade joystick attached.

        It's a resize issue, I think it's fixed in the development branch of EmulationStation. You can install the dev branch from the experimental section of the packages, it's called emulationstation-dev.
