@dmmarti Damn... I do. Let me rename that now and see if it helps.

Indeed my log doesn't refer to a remap file.

@dmmarti Nope. Didn't fix it. It also removed the ColecoVision specific remap for controls I had made. So I don't think that's the culprit.

Here's what's also interesting. Some of my ColecoVision ROMs boot with FBNeo and even when I look at the runcommand log for those it's also pulling the config from the FBNeo config folder and not the coleco folder:

[INFO] [Core Options]: Saved core options file to "/home/pi/.config/retroarch/config/FinalBurn Neo/FinalBurn Neo.opt"

Do you perhaps have wrong settings in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg ?

Above is just a guess, seems we are on a dead end.

                      The config looks good.

Perhaps it's an idea to update RetroArch.

@folly Ha! Updating RA is actually where all these problems started! :P I just updated last night.

Ok, then it could be an issue in the RetroPie-Setup.

                          To be continued......

@tpr I can't test this at the moment but what if you
rename the config folders to msxBAK & colecoBAK (easy to restore if this doesn't help)
uninstall bluemsx / reboot / reinstall
just to regenerate fresh config files?
at least this would eliminate those folders from trouble shooting??

                                @tpr having thought about it
now might be a good time to start making sd card backups
I use Win32 Disk Imager - It's saved me from disaster a few times

@lister-of-smeg Same results. It's fine. I've now resorted to just making a game config file for every ColecoVision game. A lot of them use FBNeo anyway since BlueMSX doesn't support the homebrew "Super Game Module" games and FBNeo does. If it ends up being a bigger issue I might just switch over to FBNeo for all those games.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'm throwing in the towel on this one! :D

Indeed FBneo is a good choice.

For those who don't know, we did a lot of work in this thread :
