      Hi, I am still waiting for parts to build my Raspberry Pi and then flashing RetroPie onto it. After I flash RetroPie, are there already pre-configured emulation systems loaded? If yes, is there a link where you can point me to see what systems are defaulted? Thank you for your assistance.

        Yes, the RetroPie image comes with pre-installed and pre-configured systems. You can see the list here - the main section contains all packages that are automatically installed.
        Just as explained in the documentation, you'll not see the systems in the interface until you copy any games/roms to their respective folder(s). If your Pi has an internet connection, you can install any - other - emulator after installation without issues.
