Steering wheel and pedals suitable for retropie games
-
Hi, I have built an arcade cabinet with joysticks and now want to build one with one or two steering wheels and pedals for racing games. I'm using a raspberry pi4 unit and have an sd card with thousands of games on it. I bought a Logitech G29 Driving Force steering wheel and pedals kit but cannot pair the steering wheel or pedals to the controls though I can pair the D pad and other buttons on the wheel to work directions. Is this wheel not suutable as the shop said it should be? It has a switch for PS3 and PS4 but same result in both positions. What brand or type of wheel will work for me? Thanks for any replies.

@brown7 Thanks for your reply. I have since tested Argos €60 steering wheel and pedal combo and these are recognized by the system. It is a 180 degree wheel and works perfectly on N64 Ridge Racer etc. However when I tried to configure some other of the buttons I seem to have lost the original configuration and am having difficulty matching the pedal signals to the Go and Stop coordinates. This might take another bit of head scratching to correct but at least it was right starting off. Might need to configure more games to use the same signals though the wired Nacon multi system generic stick controllers I’m using for other games seem to use the same controls for most racing games...
