retropie not recognizing a special rom
-
I put the file into /roms/snes as the other snes roms.
it loads fine on my PC using snes9x and I already played a few hours. it is a vaild snes rom, but retropie just does not show it on the list even after several restarts.I even tried to rename it to another rom that is already in the list and therefore force it to play it, but it won't.
the rom is fine, but custom. -

I have formatted your post - please format posts as I mentioned in my previous post.
config looks ok - I suspected `ParseGamelistOnly" might be set, which would mean new roms don't show up - but it's fine.
If your rom has the correct extension it should show up in the list - what shows and doesn't show is based on the file extension.
-
it is a simple .smc file. I uploaded it above to my dropbox. would be great if you could give it a try.
-
Please email me the details -
buzz [at] exotica.org.uk
and I will test when I get a moment - It is against the forum rules to post links to roms - even for debugging issues. -
will do. thanks for your help!
-
@ BuZz: did you find the time to test the rom, yet?
best wishes!
-
Not yet.
-
ok, but you got the mail, right?
best wishes! -
I did. thanks.

Shows up and work fine here.

I have the translated Clocktower working fine on my system. Just for the heck of it, will it show up if you rename it to a .sfc file (that's how mine is) and then restart EmulationStation?
