PSX games won't load anymore
-
Using a Pi model 3 B with retro pie 3.7. Have been playing ps1/psx games fine, most running without a bios file until Crash Team Racing. Got a bios file, into the correct directory, CTR runs just fine now. Then I changed the P1 gamepad to analog, still runs fine, analog sticks work. Then I exited to play another game, now NO psx games will run. I start up a game, get the prompt to "push a button to config" (which doesn't work), then it goes right back to the game select screen, no errors. Similar to another members problem, but my roms are downloaded, and have been working fine up till now. Thanks in advance.
USB devices connected: PS3 controller, XBOX360 controller with wireless dongle, bluetooth keyboard, and usb stick for roms.
Emulator: lr-pcsx-rearmed

@Narcosom did you reboot the system and then try again?
-
Yes, numerous times. I've tried deleting and replacing the bios, trying different games. I tried to enter the config menu at startup, which doesn't seem to work for the psx emulator, but works for other systems like nes, and snes. My only suspicion is that changing the controller from standard to analog in the in-game retro-arch gui somehow screwed it up, but I can't imagine how.

yeah this is a known issue. you need to update lr-pcsx-rearmed via retropie-setup.
-
ok I will look into that thank you.

Same issue on Pi 3 (model b I think) RetroPie 4.1.1 I think that's the newest version, well I'm running the latest one anyways. Hope they fix it soon, it's a major problem.

@TechieAndroid I played some PSX over the weekend and no problems at all with my Pi3 and 4.1 You'll need to look further into your issue I think.

@cowanh00
My bad I forgot to update my post. I solved my problem myself. Turns out my games were missing chunks of data but my backup ones were fine so I just loaded them and all my PSX problems were solved.
