Automatic controller configuration on raspi3
-
Is it possible to make a Code which detects the controller in every Port and gives the right controller configurations without do it manually ?
-
You don't need to add code for this, you just need to add/configure every controller possible.
-
@mitu thankyou but how i do it ?
-
If you have the controller, then plug it in and configure it as explained in https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Controller-Configuration/#controller-configuration.
EmulationStation's inputs are stored in$HOME/.emulationstation/es_input.cfg
, configuration profiles for RetroArch are generated in/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads
- you can add them directly to both locations you know how the controller inputs' are detected and follow the file format.
RetroArch auto-configuration profiles are also available for a wide range of controllers at https://github.com/libretro/retroarch-joypad-autoconfig if you wish to take a look. -
@mitu wow thank you, im really happy i find this site.
-
@mitu it doesnt work the wireless controller says it have not the right configuration when i push a button nothing happens.
-
@retropiecase Well, then you'd have to configure it normally, as explained in https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Controller-Configuration/. If it's a Bluetooth controller, pair it first using the Bluetooth menu in RetroPie-Setup.
