I can set the home button(the one below the ABXY buttons) to be the hotkey in the controller configuration but it won't work while playing a game. Therefore i am not able to quit the game without rebooting the pi or connecting another controller.

This happened after i installed xpadneo to fix the issue addressed in this post here.

Is there any way to fix this while still using XInput or will i have to use a different button as hotkey?

      Pi Model: Pi 4 2gb
Power Supply used: raspberry pi power supply which came with my pi 400
      RetroPie Version Used : 4.7.20
Controller used: 8bitdo Pro 2 (over Bluetooth using XInput)

Is the button detected as gamepad button or as a key ? Check using jstest if the Home button is detected as a button.

@mitu Thanks for the answer. Nothing changes in jstest when pressing the button.

@x_wav This means the button is not registering, so it can't be used.
