      Using a pi 4 b
Trying to get composite video to work, i have the correct adapter and have enabled in config via enable_tvout=1

this does enable composite video and when booting i get the rainbow screen and then the verbose boot list that marks "OK" to each item as it boots. it's here that the video freezes.
(Sometimes it freezes on "Found Device /dev/serial1" sometimes on "Started udev Kernel Device Manager")

while the video is frozen it appears that the device does continue to boot.

after some searching i found it may be an issue with KMS video i tried adding dtoverlay-vc4-kms-v3d-pi4,composite=1 to the config but no luck. i did found if i change that to dtoverlay-vc4-fkms-v3d the video works. (however game performance is not good).

just playing around i have another pi 4 with an older Buster PI OS installed, found this behaves the same way. however once i updated it to bullseye if i change the config to dtoverlay-vc4-kms-v3d-pi4,composite=1 it works great even using kms.
