No input from bluetooth / xbox controller
-
Hi Retropi Community,
i hope you can help me with my problems related to controllers. I tried now since days to fix the issue or tried several solutions but nothing worked for me. Fresh install, different drivers nothing helped. I know there are many topics already open related to this issue but everyone i checked didn't help me. Have seen youtube videos with controllers with the same bluetooth name (Pro Controller) and they had no issues. Everything was working directly after binding. So to be honest i'm really frustated.
I have two controllers. One is using Bluetooth (Pro Controller) and the other one is a fake xbox controller (xbox one controller) with an USB-Dongle.
Cheap Bluetooth controller
Fake Xbox Controller
Let me explain the issue i have with those two controllers. In general no input is working.
Cheap Bluetooth Controller.
No issue with binding the controller. Also it is connected fine via bluetooth, but no input is recognized. After many checks, try and errors i found out even with evtest or jstest no inputs are recoqnized. When nothing else is connected rather than a keyboard and the controller via bluetooth, the configure input menu shows "1 Gamepad" detected. In Bluetooth menu it is recognized as "Pro Controller". I tried several drivers e.g. xpadneo etc but nothing worked.
(Controller working fine on Windows PC/Android Phone)Fake XBOX Controller.
USB Dongle is recognized as Xbox One Controller but the Controller itself is not able to establish connection with the dongle. It keeps blinking. Hence no inputs are working. Here i also tried several drivers. xpad, xboxdrv etc. When nothing is connected via bl etc and only a keyboard and the controller is connected via USB Dongle, the configure input menu shows "1 Gamepad" detected.
