@DTEAM @Folly Hi! I've started working on a script to import your gamelists, but it seems that I have some xml errors, at least in the one I tried (all_in_one)... you use '&' a couple of times, which is not an accepted xml character standalone (should be '&'). Just saying, as some XML parsers will fail because of this, not sure if emulationstation will fail to read it though.
I saw the error for " All in one"(line 188). I'll fix that.
-
@DTEAM It's more than just that line I believe ... open in an xml editor and all errors should pop up.
-
@DTEAM & @Folly :I've imported the all_in_one into the retroscraper DB as a test of the import script...information should be available tomorrow morning.
I've also relaized you guys have a system I do not have in the DB 'Sega Visual Memory Unts' or svmu for short... I've created the system in my backend, and it is now available as 'svmu' (the same name I presume you use) so scraping roms under that system will feed back into the scraper DB. It will not yet have any descriptions or anything, this is for next week when I'll be back.

In my original gamelist.xml file (all in one), we can see:
<name>InterAct Complete Video Game - 111 Games & 42 Songs</name> <desc>InterAct Complete Video Game - 111 Games & 42 Songs (G5410) vt1682.cpp </desc>
In the one on Google Drive we see this:
<name>InterAct Complete Video Game - 111 Games & 42 Songs</name> <desc>InterAct Complete Video Game - 111 Games & 42 Songs (G5410) vt1682.cpp </desc>
Something happen during the transfer to change & to &. Same problem for other games in the list.

Great Work, all. Thank You!

I tried to make some improvements to the all_in1 images :
(some are still the same)
(my google-drive link removed)
Now on google drive @DTEAM :

@DTEAM you should keep the originals in a backup folder.
If I have the time I will try to make videos too.
-
-
Do you keep a backup of the original files in there too ?
-
Yes and no. When it's tested sometime I clean the old stuff. I have a backup of the Google Drive.
-
I think we need to keep them because if we find better editing tools we can do the editing again from the older originals.

@Folly @kiro
I uploaded your images and the good gamelist.xml file on Google drive. It should be fixed for "All in one" system. I'll double check the other files.@Folly @kiro
pockstat and videopac had the same problems. Now fixed on google drive! It should be fine now. -

Do you have an updated gamelist for those videos? If not, i'll work on that. Thanks for the videos !!
-
No I haven't because you were busy with it.
Thanks for adding ;-) -
After playing a better game on lexizeus I wanted a better video for this driver.
I updated the video on google-drive. -
@Folly
Next step for videos could be classich 😉 thanks a lot for « all in one » i know it takes a lot of time to do that!!!
I did it (for now) for the 68 games of the actual gamelist. You can test it. The result is very good. -
Looks really good now ;-)
Tried to do the same with classich but mame will slow down too much with using the option -aviwrite and some of these "classich" drivers.
I am looking for an other way of making these videos but it seems to be difficult.
-
@Folly
I already did the one for nstarfox -
I found a solution here :https://forums.bannister.org/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=118963&Searchpage=1&Main=9230&Words=aviwrite+&Search=true#Post118963
use
-snapview native
to record without artwork
or
use-snapsize 800x600
to record with artwork at lower resolution so speed is at an acceptable level.
