Re: [Xbox Core Bluetooth Controller](RetroPie 4.7.1)
Good afternoon all! I'm trying to get bluetooth controllers to connect to my RetroPie, but I'm running into issues.
I can see the two Core controllers (when they're in discovery/pair mode) in the RetroPie console and can select them. I don't see any confirmation that they're paired, I'm just taken back to the configure bluetooth page. Both controllers still continue to blink away as if they're not connected. Additionally, if I check paired devices, it tells me there are no paired devices.
If I exit out of the configuration and go into setting up devices, RetroPie shows three devices...the wired controller, which I would expect, and I believe the two Xbox Core controllers. However, when I press any key on either of the wireless controllers (so I can set the key mappings)...nothing happens on either wireless controller. RetroPie knows they're there...but isn't accepting any inputs from them (because, I suspect, they're not actually paired).
Any ideas on how to get these controllers to actually pair? Am I missing something?

@chrisdelay try installing the xpadneo driver. It should be listed in RetroPie setup under the drivers section. After you install it, try re-pairing the controllers and then attempt to map one in emulation station.

@quicksilver I've got that along with xboxdrv and xpad installed... Do I need to pull the other two drivers?

I've done a little extra poking:
1.) I need to leave the xpad driver in place...that's the driver for the plugged-in controller.
2.) Pulled the xboxdrv and rebooted, no help. Put it back in. Change in behavior...still can't connect, but now my keymapping screen only shows one controller (the one that's plugged in), neither bluetooth connections.
3.) Looking at the syslog entries, I see this where the controller tries to connect:Mar 4 01:21:51 retropie bluetoothd[536]: input-hog profile accept failed for 14:CB:65:B0:EA:B8

You don't need xboxdrv you can remove it, it's not going to help in this situation. If xpadneo doesn't work then I'm not sure what else to try. May have to wait until someone else chimes in.

xpadneo
is the right driver for the Bluetooth Xbox One controller, xpad
should stay for the wired ones.Make sure you remove any paired/detected devices in the Bluetooth menu and then re-attempt the pairing.
