Overclocking reccomendations
-
So I want to overclock my pi 4 to run Game Cube games on Emulation Station, and I'm unsure if my cooling power will be effective at keeping my chips safe. Right now I have two heat sinks and a single basic fan on my pi. What level do you think it would be safe?

I have two Pi4's running an overlclock of 2.147Ghz on the CPU and 750Mhz on the GPU, over volatage of 5. I am using the standard heatsinks you can get online in Canakit sets along with a Canokit fan on one, and a GeekPi case and Icetower cooler on the other.
Canakit
Icetower
The difference is day and night. With the overclock, I see CPU and GPU temps in the mid 60's (With stock themal tape) and when I upgraded the Artic thermal tape, I dropped the temps down to upper 50's.
On the Icetower, using the stock thermal pads, the temps never exceed upper 30's. I upgraded to Artic thermal pads and the system usually runs around 33 to 34 degrees.
With that said, depending on what case you have and what you tastes are, I would look at the GeekPi Icetower case with the low profile cooler as seen above. With stock or aftermarket themal pads, you will see drastically better cooling.
But, even with basic cooling, such as the Canakit set, you still see temps that are under max prior to throttling.

@theotherdan Correction, the over voltage is 6 as a note
