Pay to play?

Is it ok to charge people to play on my emulator? Just wondering so i could maybe try starting an arcade business
-
@RetroGenZ probably not if you have unlicensed software on it, but who's gonna tell? Might be okay for a private event. If you make a business out of it, somebody's gonna catch wind.

If the emulator's license allows that and you're licensing the games played, probably yes. Otherwise, no.

@RetroGenZ basically, no. depends on your local jurisdiction, but you almost certainly need an entertainment/gaming license for the premises, and then individual licenses for all commercial games you're charging people to play (which are basically impossible to get for emulated retro games), and the the emulators themselves may have licenses that forbid commercial use.
