Retropie audio issue (pi zero w)
-
Hi Ive recently taken on a pi zero w gameboy project but im having issues with my audio. I have wired my amplifier to the pi zero w via pin 18 as audio out, using the 'dtoverlay=pwm,pin=18,func=2' command line in the config txt file. Everything works including my gpio buttons but for some reason my audio is very quiet, Ive adjusted all volume control options in emulation station and the retropie settings to max. However the volume is still low even after testing the amplifier as it does fully work. I have noticed I tend to get an error message when entering into the retropie audio settings which are 'VolumeControl::init() - Failed to find mixer elements!' and I get this installing dependencies audiosettings for a spli second. Which I dont think actually installs anything as im getting the same error.
I'm new to all this programming stuff so if I have missed anything please do let me know as its really frustrating!
Thanks!

What's the output of the
aplay -l
andaplay -L
commands ? What settings do you have for Audio in EmulationStation's menu (device/card) ?Also, please add some info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
