RetroPie on Odroid XU4 does not have any audio
-
Hello everyone. I noticed that after you launch a game for any system, it does not produce any sound. I followed the guide for setting RetroPie up on the Odroid XU4 (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Odroid-XU3-XU4/#samba-shares). I tried using the following commands to turn off pulseaudio:
mkdir ~/.pulse
echo "autospawn=no" >> ~/.pulse/client.conf
pulseaudio -kThe last line yielded the following error: -bash: pulseaudio: command not found.
I also went to RetroPie>RetroArch>Settings>Audio to change the Audio Latency to 192.
No audio can be heard after I launch a game.If anyone knows how to fix this issue, please let me know.
Thanks.

I noticed that after you launch a game for any system, it does not produce any sound.
Does this mean you have sound for the 1st launch, but subsequent launches do not ?
[...]
The last line yielded the following error: -bash: pulseaudio: command not found. This means that
pulseaudio
is not installed.I also went to RetroPie>RetroArch>Settings>Audio to change the Audio Latency to 192.
No audio can be heard after I launch a game. Not sure how latency options would help if there's no audio output at all.

Are there any commands I should use to install pulseaudio on this version of RetroPie? I'll give it a shot and turn it off if it is necessary.

@Striderx99 I don't see the point in installing
pulseaudio
and then disabling it, but RetroPie will use the audio system you have configured in your system - you can install and configure PulseAudio using the Ubuntu package repositories, just like on any other Linux distro.
