[SOLVED] ES - new system, no file extension
-
As the title suggests this is more of an ES thing but hopefully someone can help. I've been trying to set up Xenia as a new system but the rom files have no extension so I can't work out what to put to get the rom files seen by ES. The entry currently looks like this (with my pathetic attempts to get it to work included)
<extension> *.* *.? *. ."" .null .0 0.0 </extension>
I've also tried just leaving it completely empty.
Is there a way of just getting it to see all files, regardless of extension (or lack thereof?) -
What do you mean they have no extensions? Doesn't it use
.iso
files?Worst case, treat it like ports: use a
.sh
file for the front-end and just have that have inside it the command that actually launches the game. -

I don't think so. Just decide on an ad-hoc extension to use and rename the file(s)/folder(s).

Thanks, both - it turns out it is a quirk of the emulator and doesn't like it if there is an extension on particular types of roms. A .sh solution has worked though! Thanks again.
