      Thanks, both - it turns out it is a quirk of the emulator and doesn't like it if there is an extension on particular types of roms. A .sh solution has worked though! Thanks again.

      @mitu I just figured out what my problem was. I was using bios_CD_J.bin, bios_CD_U.bin, and bios_CD_E.bin, but they had the wrong checksums. I grabbed the correct versions of each, making it possible to hear the soundtracks for each game.

      @Rydo

      Can I ask how you determined the following values?

      /dev/input/jsX 0x3C 0x3E 0x2B 0x2D 0x70 0x71 0x69 0x6F

      On a fresh RetroPie image using a wired Nintendo Switch controller, my button assignments do not match up to yours.

      My device name is:

      deviceName="BDA NSW wired controller"

      So I'm curious how you determined those hex values.

      Thanks,

      David

      The joy2key program is hard programed.
      /dev/input/jsX means it is applied to all Linux joystick.
      The hex escape codes are ansi keyboard codes for keypresses that overlay buttons in the order of 'left', 'right', 'up', 'down', 'a', 'b', 'x', 'y'

      0x3C 0x3E 0x2B 0x2D 0x70 0x71 0x69 0x6F

      I would suspect your buttons are backwards (Japanese style) so I would move the value around like this.

      0x3C 0x3E 0x2B 0x2D 0x71 0x70 0x6F 0x69

      @2play also, please share your es_systems file here, debug logs, and while you're at it find other files with the same name on your system.

      The link I shared earlier should help troubleshoot though.

      @mitu Upon clicking the Retrobat.exe, it changed my es_systems.cfg. It only listed my Ports section and a section that had multiple emulators in the system folder. I have a large sized SD adapter where I place many of the system roms. I guess the fork from Retrobat configures items that way by default, so I might have to ask Kayl for some help on adjusting it so that it fits my settings.

      Ok so I've found out why, for anyone that could find this thread later on, with the same issue. It is far simple as Skyscrapper, at the time of this posting, does not support Famicom and Super Famicom as a platform. Maybe in a futur update? Maybe never? We'll see in time.

      For now I've placed my Famicom in my NES rom and Super Famicom in my SNES folder and did the scrape. Then I moved it back to the famicom and sfc folder respectively, including the gamelist.xml and the media folder.

      It's a bit of a hassle, but it get the job done.

      URL to the supported Skyscrapper platform :

      @ReadyPlayaWon Indeed. I've now managed to separate pretty much all of my systems the way I want to. It feels good to have my PC-Engine CD roms where they belong! ^^

      Thanks I was just wondering it would have been easer for people but not so curious as to test it when I'm already finished with doing it without cue files.

      But if anyone decides to do it the build in scraper works perfectly for scraping but skyscraper wouldn't for some reason but I had all the cue files from when I made the CHD files so I just scraped them and edited the gamelist.

      And yet agian thank you mitu for the quick response your amazing

      The display order is they're entered in es_systems.cfg file. If you want to re-order them, move the <system>..</system> entries in the configuration file.

      Does every NAOMI-Rom need a CHD?

      No, the chd are only required for games that were on optical media, in this case the zip file only contains some stuff to decrypt the chd and sometimes a default eeprom.

      So in the end I did end up making the gamelist myself. The good thing is that the game and the thumbnail are the same file for Pico-8 games :)
