NES controls changed all of a sudden + weak control

Ok, I had to modify the Retroarch.cfg for NES correctly to get it up and running again. I still encounter lags and looking at videos online it should handle NES/SNES just fine for the most part.

Ok...I'm using this video as reference:

DK is running flawlessly on his Zero. The only difference: He's using a composite monitor, not a PITFT. Could that actually be the reason why mine is running crappy?

Anyone? Don't mean do bump all the time... but I feel like something is wrong on my side.

another try to gather information/help. is something wrong with my system or is it indeed to weak for emulation with a pitft?

@Endprodukt I've read that the PiTFT screen can't keep up with some of the games but the analog composite screen works fine. The PiTFT is software driven and any load on the Pi could cause a slowdown of the screen refresh and sound distortion.

@glennlake makes absolutely sense... I whish I'd knew earlier. I tried to find a composite screen with 2.4" without luck.

@Endprodukt The smallest composite screen i've found is from GearBest. I have ordered this screen and am waiting for its arrival. (The world is a small place unless you need something brought to you from the other side). @glennlake He used the Adafruit one. How did you make it work on 5v?

@Endprodukt I haven't received my screen yet but what I was thinking of doing was to use an up-converter to raise the 5 volts to the 12 volts it needs. You might check with wermy on this forum. Here is the link to one of his youtube vids that may help. "
