Hello. Finally bought a Pi4 and 2 emuators in, already a mess.

The artifacting setting by raphkoster mentioned here: https://github.com/raphkoster/lr-atari800-runcommand-onstart used be real simple, now no longer works. My last build on my Pi3b+ took me all of 20 min to get both the A5200 and A800 working. Now, the A800 works, but the articating is gone no matter what, and the A5200 keeps telling me the "Game in not listed in the DB". whatever that means.

      Pi4B+ 4GB Virlos package
New build on 4.8.5 Script with all emus updated.
using all updated info from the Author's site, and following along as I once did.

Test game is Drol and Choplifter which on my Pi3B+ build uses the GITA Artifacting setup. All other games work fine, so the requests for Basic, and such work according to the instructions.

      Thanks.

      JR

If you manually set the core option for artifacting from within RetroArch, does it work ?

@mitu as always... You're spot on. Yes, that was it. I had no idea this was a new option. It works great.

So do I save a config for each game, because the use different modes for each one.

@mitu ok, that works. I just save a config for each game. Thanks a mil!

So now the 5200. Why am I getting a pop-up when I start a game that reads "Atari800: 800 cart not found in DB".

I have the system selected as 5200 Super System in the Core Settings. The machine is listed as "Atari 5200 (16 kb) in the Atari800 emulator menu as well. These are the same roms I've been using for every build since my Pi2 days. Never seen this error message before. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's a new option, but if you have reset your RetroArch configuration, the core options save path is different than the RetroPie's default (which is what @rkoster's script is using).

Try to save the core options with the machine type per 'content directory' so the options are applied to all roms in the a5200 folder.

Nevermind... Rom issue. Apparently it doesn't like .bin files anymore. I switched to all .a52 and all is working!
