PlayStation 1 game hangs after playing it for few minutes
-
@windg its not creating the file, i tried it like 5 time and the file isnt there
-
@Brokenbalon Do you have issues with other psx games?
Some things that you can try:
Try to update RetroPie.
Check that you have the necessary bios files.
Disable enhanced resolution, if you have enable it.
Download the game from a different source.
Check usb stick for errors.
Reset RetroPie/permissions : RetroPie Setup > Configuration > resetromdirs
Reinstall RetroPie to a different sd-card. -

How are you trying to access the file? Note that
/dev/shm
is a location which only exists in memory and does not persist after a reboot. You have to access the logfile while the RPi device is running; you cannot, for example, put the SD card into your PC computer and access the file that way. -
@windg yes, its only at this game
-
@Brokenbalon Then it's a bad rom i believe. Game running without issues on me, i have a RPi4 too.
-
@windg what rom do u use self made or other?
-
I use Colin McRae Rally 2.0 (Europe) (EnFrDeEsIt) (Rev 2). Im using RetroPie 4.8.5 (Buster) with latest updates .
-
@windg whats the difrent between rev1 and rev2
-
@Brokenbalon I have no idea
-
@windg xD okay but i will try rev 2 now
-

There really should be. How are you looking?
-
@sleve_mcdichael my raspbrerry is on then i go to my pc to my normal files and tipe in \RETROPIE and then i look but there is nothing and the game is running
-
@windg there is the problem also, do u load the rom on the micro SD or on a stick

That's the SMB (Samba) network share --
/dev/shm
is not accessible over SMB, you will need to use SSH or SFTP: -
@sleve_mcdichael oh okay sry about that
-
@sleve_mcdichael so i installed everithing i need. But in the folder is nothing
-
@windg what do i now with this .log file
-
@Brokenbalon upload the log file's contents on pastebin.com, and then share that link here.
