Unable to play retro titles
-
Hello, I am new to the pie, and I am trying to play retro games on from the retro pie emulation system. However, when I load any of the games, whether PS 1, Snes, or NES, the controler does not work. The controler is an xbox series S controler, and we did go through the configuration.

Please add some info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
The controler is an xbox series S controler, and we did go through the configuration.
Did you connect the controller via Bluetooth ? Does 'go through the configuration' means you configured it in EmulationStation (the front-end) and it works there ?

@mitu The raspberry pi model is the model 400. I used the pi immager, and connected to the pi are an Xbox series S controler, (USB) A wireless Keyboard (USB) A USB thumbdrive for games. Yes, we did configure it on the front end,but we also tried to use the configuration editor. We tried configuring each emulator, and we also tried using the option that configures all the defaults. I hope this helps.

Run an update for RetroPie (see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/) and then restart and re-configure the gamepad again in EmulationStation. See if that fixes the issue - you don't need to use the configuration editor to complete the gamepad configuration.

@mitu Hello,
Thank you for the suggestion, we will try that and keep you posted if it does not work.
