      Hi everyone,
      I have a problem with my rpi3 and CRT TV.
      Basically I would like to be able to play with retropie on a CRT TV and wanted to connect the rpi3 via composite cable. I bought a special cable on Amazon but I can't get a signal out of the rpi3.
      On the TV I always get no signal.
      I tried changing some parameters in the config file

      uncomment for composite PAL

      enable_tvout=1
      sdtv_mode=2
      sdtv_aspect=1

      but nothing, still the same situation.
      Could you help me please?
      The cable I purchased is the following:

      https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0018PW12Q?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

      I tried all the jacks every time (yellow, red and white as in the video) but nothing!!

        Just a guess but I think the schematics of your cable is wrong.
        There are cables that look the same but have different connections.
        So you need to find the cable schematics for the RPI and then check your cable.
        So it can be that you have to use the white or red tulip plug for video out.

          @Folly the cable is right. I checked it with the tester and the video output is red while the audio is yellow. The mass is in the right place. I think it's a matter of config file configuration

            By default, you don't need any configuration - a RPI3 will enable the analog video/audio when no HDMI is detected.

            enable_tvout is just for Pi4, which doesn't do the switch automatically.

            When you're measuring the output, is the cable plugged in the Pi ? If the signal goes through, then maybe the issue is the TV - does it accept composite from other sources ? Do you have a PAL or NTSC TV ?
