MAME high score location

Someone installed RetroPie 4.2.8 and MAME for me. I see mame2010 in the Runcommand launch menu and mame2003 in folders. I need to reset Track & Field scores and tried these commands:
find /home/pi/RetroPie -name *.hi: shows nothing
find /home/pi/RetroPie -name *.nv: shows other scores
find / 2>/dev/null -name trackfld.*: shows .cfg and other files that don't contain scores
find / 2>/dev/null -name hiscore.dat -delete: doesn't reset
Where are scores stored? -
Reinstalling RetroPie fixed it.
