Hello,
I am working on a cocktail set up and I can't get Tapper, Galaga, Samurai Showdown(s) or Waku Waku 7 to work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.Pi Model or other hardware: Pi4b 8gb
Power Supply used: official Canakit
RetroPie Version Used: standalone version in PINN
Built From: PINN
USB Devices connected: wireless mouse. keyboard. IPAC2
Controller used: IPAC 2 (2player) retropad custom 8 buttonEvery other arcade Neo Geo game works on my set-up running MAME 2003 with non-merged 0.78 roms
When launched, there's no error message, it just exits back to the menu screen.
I would love to get these working if possible.
has anyone had this issue before?
Thanks,
Leeand Moon Patrol too! UGH!

Try to launch the game with verbose logging, from runcommand menu, and post here the log file.

@krullbeast You will find all the info in the RetroPie Docs : https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Runcommand/. Did you try to run the games with lr-mame2003plus ?

From my experience, there is a 99.99% chance a part of that sentence is wrong, meaning either you are not using MAME2003 for those games, or you are not using 0.78 romsets for those games, logs would confirm. The 0.01% remaining would be that that your files are corrupt or that MAME2003 simply can't run those games (it'd be surprising but never say never about a MAME game flagged as working properly while it actually doesn't). Which leads to the main question: why you are using MAME2003 on a pi4 to run those games ? There are multiple options that are plain better, almost any other option actually.

So what is that exactly ? One of those 3rd party builds that are not supported here ? It would explain a lot about your issues.
