      Hi all,

This more for curiosity than anything but I thought I'd ask. I am running Retropie 4.8 on an RPi4 (8GB). I'm using the RetroRama theme set. Everything runs great but since the backgrounds for the console menus in Emulation Station are rendered at 1280x720, they look pretty pixelated on my 4k TV (even having Pi set to output at 1920x1080). I decided to AI upscale the backgrounds to 1920x1080 but when I do this, I can only replace about 3-4 of the 1280x720 files before Emulation Station starts flickering badly or just going black altogether. I have even tried compressing the 1080 files down to file sizes LESS than what the 720 files are (under 250KB each) but I still have the same issue. Does Retropie 4.8 just not handle 1080 backgrounds well? Is it a VRAM issue? My VRAM is at the default 64MB. I haven't touched it for this particular setup. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
