Sega Arcade joystick to USB - help needed

Hiya. Ive seen a helpful topic on here about converting the Sega game pad 6 button over to using a USB cable via a small chipset. Seems the chipset is no longer available though.
Would anyone know of what there is out there to use to convert this over to using USB so I can use this with my retro emulators on my PC please?
PS I know you can buy external convertors, but id like a project and to make it as OEM look as possible 🤗
